UI Audit Response Guide · KS
Kansas UI audit response
Kansas reviews go smoother when you provide a clean, payee-by-payee payment trail and reconcile it to your internal totals.
Kansas “what’s different”
Kansas reviews tend to stay straightforward when your response is organized by payee first, then supported by a simple reconciliation. The fastest way to trigger follow-ups is to submit totals without a trail.
What to expect (Kansas)
- A records request with a defined audit period and deadline.
- Requests for wage/payment detail and supporting source records.
- Clarification questions if totals don’t match across systems.
What to pull first (Kansas checklist)
A) Period summary
- Audit period dates + one-page totals summary.
- Any reporting summaries you filed or rely on internally.
B) Payment trail
- Bank/processor exports for the audit period.
- Payee register: date, payee, amount, purpose label.
C) Proof per payee
- W-9 (if applicable)
- Invoices
- Scope documentation (work order / SOW / engagement emails / proposal acceptance)
- Approvals (if used)
- Work evidence for repeat or higher-dollar payees
If you have multiple locations or lines of business, add a 3–5 bullet “how we operate” note so payees map cleanly to the right activity.
