Getting Started
How do I create a Classifi account?
Visit the sign-up page, choose your role (employer, firm, or contractor), and follow the onboarding steps. You will be guided through company setup, state registration, and workspace configuration.
What information do I need to get started?
Employers need their EIN, state UI account numbers, and basic company information. Contractors need a valid email address and, optionally, a W-9 on file.
How do I invite contractors to submit documents?
Navigate to the Engagements section in your workspace, click "Invite contractor," and fill in their name and email. They will receive a secure link to upload compliance documents.
Billing
What plans does Classifi offer?
Classifi offers Essentials, Pro, and Business tiers for employers, plus dedicated firm plans for accounting and advisory practices. All plans include a free trial period.
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Settings > Billing in your workspace. You can update your card, view invoices, and manage your subscription from the billing portal.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel from the billing settings page. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period.
Compliance
What is a contractor classification risk score?
The risk score evaluates how closely a worker relationship aligns with independent contractor criteria under federal and state guidelines. A higher score indicates stronger alignment with contractor status.
Does Classifi provide legal advice?
No. Classifi provides data-driven analysis and documentation tools to support your compliance program. Always consult qualified legal counsel for specific legal questions.
How does multi-state compliance work?
Classifi tracks your operating states, monitors state-specific UI account registrations, and applies the correct classification test (ABC, common-law, or hybrid) for each jurisdiction.
Integrations
Does Classifi integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. Connect your QuickBooks account from the Integrations page to import contractor payment data and streamline disbursement tracking.
What other integrations are available?
Classifi supports QuickBooks (Online and Payroll) and Gusto. Additional integrations are on the roadmap. Contact us if you have a specific integration request.
Account
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot password" on the login page and enter your email. You will receive a link to set a new password.
Can I have multiple workspaces?
Yes. Firm users can manage multiple client workspaces from a single account. Employer users are typically associated with one primary workspace.
